The Tyrrell Historical Library in Beaumont, Texas was built in 1903 for First Baptist Church. Its design is Richardsonian Romanesque architecture mixed with features of the Victorian Gothic style, such as pointed arch windows and quatrefoils. The building was purchased by Captain W. C. Tyrrell in 1923, and was donated to the city, it survives today as an historical library. The building also retains all of the original stained glass.[1][2]
